It's okay! I have been a little busy too because of reasons to do with Pokemon!!

I will and also you will see one because my friend Soren is one and we are going to be spending a lot of time together since I am supposed to be his trainer!

Grandpa says that is fine so we will meet you there!! We will bring the Pai Sho board and everything else.

[Aaaand off he goes to the bakery at the appointed hour, though he has a book with him as always, in case Ikki's running late.]

[ The airbender trio - Soren totally counts, guys - is on time, actually, and Ikki has decided to opt out of her usual air nomad duds for a yellow sundress and a white cardigan, for no reason other than wanting to wear a dress that morning. It's sort of fun to dress in different colours in Luceti, although she generally gravitates to yellows and reds and oranges without even thinking about it.

Ikki's in the lead, and glances around before waving cheerfully at Loki, tugging on her grandfather's sleeve at the same time. ] Grandpa, over there!

[ and she'll come over. Pokemon inside the shop should be everyday now, since Soren came here with her all the time, previously, and some of the Luceti residents look even less anthromorphic. ] Afternoon! Are you feeling better now?

[Aang comes along behind her. As uneasy as he feels about her spending time around Loki, it's good to see her happy and so full of energy. With the Pai Sho board under one arm, he looks down at Ikki with a smile.]

I see, Ikki, I see. [And he looks up at Loki, trying to keep the smile up.] Hello, Loki.

[Loki shuts his book and rises to his feet, then bows to Aang rather formally, then gives Ikki a grin.] I am. Thank you for being so patient with me.

[He makes the book disappear between his hands.] What kind of tea do you like, Ikki?

Leechi nut tea! [ Which...might not be familiar to someone from another world. ] I like green tea, too.

[He quickly returns his own bow before turning his attention back to Ikki.]

I'm not sure if they'll have leechi; those nuts don't show up that often.

I'll inquire of it. Otherwise, green tea. [He smiles and goes to get a pot of tea and three cups for them.

It turns out that green is what they're going to get. He's back quickly with a little tray.]

We should plant some at Uncle Luke's farm if they show up again, then! [ think of all the Leechi treats that could come of having a source, grandpa. ] I'm pretty sure he'd let us!

[ She's sitting down now and patiently waits for the tea to be handed out instead of...grabbing it while Loki holds it. Manners! ]

That's a great idea, Ikki! I think Luke would let us, too. I don't see why he wouldn't want all kinds of crops growing on his farm.

[Aang also waits for the handing out - definitely has to uphold an example of good manners.] Thanks.

I hadn't realized Luke had a farm. I'm afraid it's just green tea today, though.[Loki has never been one for plants in a general sense.]

[He passes out the tea with an oddly regal nod, then sits.] I trust you both have been well?

Yep! I haven't been there yet, though. You know Uncle Luke?

[ Ikki takes a sip of her tea, trying to find the balance between "enough to drink" and "not so much she burns herself". ] Mm-hmm!

This is still good. [He receives his sip and takes a small first sip.]

I've been well, yeah. I still haven't checked the farm out up close myself. And how have... you been, Loki?

I do. We meet twice a week to work on magics. I didn't know he was your uncle. [He knows she means adopted, but it's fun to tease. He grins.] He doesn't have your nose.

[He shrugs.] I was ill for a bit. I've recovered. [He wiggles his left arm.] And I'm out of that sling now, which is lovely.

Force magics? I know a little about them. I think he kinda needs them if he lives in a place with rancor beasts. [ Her impromptu Star Wars fauna lesson has left Ikki with an intense feeling of how did anyone survive there. She laughs at the half-question, though. ] He's not actually related to me, but he and Aunt Nomi are family, anyway.

Have you done anything fun - [ Ikki's cut off by the bird pokemon sitting next to her nudging his head against her arm, and she giggles again. ] Sorry, Soren! Right. Loki, this is Soren - Soren, this is Loki.

[Aang nods politely as Loki explains his recovery.]

Rancor beasts? But from what I know, the Force sounds really useful. It helps you with your magics.

[And he gives a warm smile towards Soren, the new member of the household.] And he's only our newest animal.

It's more seeing if he can teach more if I can teach him, and a bit of seeing what we might work on together.

...Rancor beasts? That sounds unpleasant. [Loki grins.] You've the most mysterious family tree of anyone I've ever met, Ikki. 'tis very confusing.

[He gives Soren a little bow as if the pokemon is a person.] Well met then, Soren. [He holds out a hand for the pokemon to examine.]

Ah yes, I'd heard you have something of a menagerie.

Sometimes I wonder about getting a pet...

They are unpleasant! I can do you one better than telling, though. [ Ikki takes out her journal - no she's not being rude! - and flips back to one of her first entries, finding the sketch Uncle Luke had left her.

Guys, meet the rancor beast. ] Apparently there's a whole planet of them - Uncle Luke's from a place where there are loooooots of planets.

[ Soren is always willing to accept people treating him like a person because he is, okay. He's already pretty fond of the other people at house 56 - Aang is an airbending buddy, man - and he'll examine Loki's hand with a certain amount of wariness but is mostly chill. ]

I'm not sure where you'd get a pet here, though. The ones we have came with people, right, grandpa?

[He starts off cheerily addressing Loki.]

It is like a menagerie, Loki, we have a sky bison, flying lemur, messenger hawk, starfish, and we almost got a puppy-

[But he stops. That... drawing.]

[That terrifying drawing. Luke what have you shown to this child?!]

Y-yeah, except for Petunia. Unless you try... making friends with local animals, the only other way I'd know is I think you can get some with mission points. [He could be remembering wrong.]

[Loki inspects the picture with a certain amount of curiosity but nothing more. He has seen uglier things.] Hm. Interesting. [He smiles.] There are many planets where I'm from as well. Only most people haven't figured out how to leave their own yet.

That is quite the impressive array, Aang.

Gregor informed me I might acquire a horse in that fashion. That is my intention. I rather miss my horse.

[ The rancor beast has shown up in her nightmares. Ikki's pretty certain Luke Skywalker and everyone from his world are just impossibly strong and brave because how else do you ever deal with monsters like this. ] Are planets different from the realms you talked about, or is it just another word for the same thing?

Right, 'cause Petunia was from Captain Jack.

Gregor's one of your friends, right? [ She has to think about it a moment, but she has seen something about stables recently. ] Is he involved with the stables?
