[ Aang probably knows this, but Ikki's style of play is just as fast as her mouth. She doesn't really like waiting around for things to happen, and so she doesn't always really consider her moves. This can work to her advantage or disadvantage; she's only ever beaten Jinora by surprising and confusing her more logical sister by making completely whimsical moves with no visible strategy, but she's just as often lost because of the part where she legitimately has no strategy.
Let's move this tile because it is pretty and it can go here because she feels like it, man. ]
Afraid? I'm not scary!

[Loki props his elbow on the table, chin in his hand. He grins at Ikki.] Hah! Try as you might to dissemble, your infamy precedes you, Ikki the Terrible. I am quaking in my boots just as I look at you. I've heard you can make a grown man go to an art club meeting just by staring at him. I shudder to think what might happen if you used your powers for evil.
[ Ikki takes a minute to move, but only because she's eyeing Loki. Sometimes his vocabulary goes straight over here head. ] Dissemble? Like un-assembling something?
[ She's pretty sure infamy is something about fame, so she lets that particular one slide and makes her next move based on absolutely no tactic at all yet again. ]
We-ell, I'm not using anything for evil! Rapunzel and I figure if we get allll of Luceti to join the Art Club, everyone'll have to get along, anyway.
Dissemble means that you pretend to be sweet and innocent, but are secretly Ikki the Terrible, feared by all. [He ruffles her hair, the gesture unthinking and casual.]
[ WHY DOES EVERYONE RUFFLE HER HAIR no okay it doesn't bother her, although she'll inevitably end up having to redo her buns at some point later on in the day.
Ikki fiddles with her piece before plopping it down off to the side. That looks nice, the little pattern she just made. ]
[He almost moves when he sees Loki's hand moving. It's so weird and unnatural to see him performing an action he's often performed towards that same precious head of hair. He quickly shifts his focus to to the board and moves one of the pieces towards another to start making a harmony.]
That'd be great! You can never have too many murals, can you?
[Loki notes a certain amount of tension from Aang. Perhaps it was a mistake on his part, but... no. It is in his interest to act normal, and in this he does actually feel normal. It's not often that he indulges himself in that way. He doesn't want to give it up, he finds. It's nice to feel as if he cares about someone and he is cared about in turn.
Younger Loki has, after all, declared Ikki his BFF. That probably includes hair ruffling privileges.]
I hadn't known there were murals at all. Where might they be? [He smiles.] And you helped make them?
[ Action, October 8 ] THE MURAL LUCY CAN'T FIND A LINK TO SOB
[ Whoops. Ikki's nowhere near a harmony. She'll actually move a piece so she can maybe start one next time, unless that's blocked somehow. She doesn't note the byplay, either. ]
Oh, you've seen one! And that's the only one I helped with. The fountain mural? The other one is over by the Welcome Center.
[Aang keeps his Airbenderness intact and tries to focus on the game, moving another piece about. But he's not trying too hard to win or anything - it's his granddaughter after all.]
Oh, I see. I didn't realize that it was done by the people here... which thinking about it is quite a foolish mistake to make. I shall look at it better when next I am at the fountain. And see the one at the welcome center.
I think the fountain one is my favourite, though! Probably 'cause I was here for that.
[ Ikki's trying to win in the sense that is what you do with games, but in Pai Sho winning is something that tends to either happen to her or not. She's willing to sit and play it either way. ]
Well of course, if it has your personal touch. [Loki smiles.] I am terribly unobservant when I'm around books, I'm afraid. Sometimes the only way to catch my attention at all is by dumping water on my head.
A much better student than I, then. Though I taught myself all sorts of interesting things instead of rolling around in the dirt. [Loki laughs.] Perhaps if I'd had a teacher who made such things fun, I might have been less naughty about it.
Daddy - [ ...well she was going to say he made the lessons fun, but that might not be entirely true? Ikki enjoyed them, but her father was a lot more serious than, say, her grandfather. ] - I like learning from him.
Anyway, what sorts of things did you learn when you were little, Loki?
Oh, all manner of things. We had quite the array of tutors. Maths, sciences, some literature... manners and etiquette, that sort of thing. I learned dancing. All those were things I found fun. I had a magics tutor, who was quite fun until I outgrew him. [He shrugs.] The rest was combat arts, which I was less eager to attend.

That's a pretty good idea, Ikki. If anyone can unite us all for good, it's gotta be you.
