[ Strange. Definitely very strange. Ikki knew the room, because it was hers, but it wasn't right. Things weren't there, or were cleaned away, and although she searched around for it, she couldn't find her box or her clothes or even her sister. No matter how hard she tried to think about it, she couldn't really make things mesh in her head.

...Oh well! Humming softly to herself, Ikki opens the journal, going to her favourite setting - video. She doesn't look overly worried, although she's more or less baffled - she fully expects someone will find her and explain things, or at least tell her where to go. ]

Jinoraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! D'you have my things? Or does someone else? 'Cause I can't find 'em. Or you, so I'm using this, although I dunno the chances of you reading this book instead of another book. [ Pouting. It would be so much easier if her sister weren't constantly buried in books. At least there's a very good chance some of her other family members will see this. At least, that's the entire plan - so far as Ikki plans anything. ]

Y'know, I could have really important news and you'd miss it 'cause I can't find you! I mean, I don't. I think. I mean, I guess I sorta do, but not ACTUALLY and if you'd read this you'd probably KNOW it already. I mean, I can probably think of some! But anyway my POINT is that now I'm gonna have to run over to the library 'cause that's probably where you are, and if you aren't I'm basically gonna have to run around everywhere instead 'cause maybe you decided to go sit and read on a bench but how do I know if you did, you know? And it's not like I know all the little places you could be or might be 'cause I'm not totally sure about that right now and anyway this is a bigger area to check than usual which is ANNOYING 'cause I don't know where you are for SURE and you might not be where I think you are and you might not even be where I don't think you are, and that gets CONFUSING.

[ Apparently that was all on one breath, because she has to pause to take another, still gesturing vaguely with her hands. ] Or! I guess I'll go check for my clothes first, 'cause the dress is nice an' all but at least that'd be some of my things down, I guess? An' that's on the way anyway, so I guess that works! But! If you're not here, then you might be there? I mean, 'cause where else would you sleep? [ She's not even really talking to her sister any longer, if she ever was. Hrm. ] 'Kay! So I'll go get my clothes, and then go back and check if you're at the other house. [ Aaaand that's a wrap. Video function ended. Feel free to hit her up in journals/on the path of House 58 > shops > House 56, if you want. ]

[ And post picking up her clothing, Ikki wanders back to her second household - which was the first, a little while back - to locate any of the relatives she hadn't managed to find to begin with. She does not actually knock on the door, but will just go inside and track down anyone who is there. And also probably take an apple or something to eat. ]

[ Even in the future she is fairly certain she doesn't want to upset her grandmother. Besides, the rules have always been reasonable.

...Still, permission with Katara is harder than permission with Aang. But if she explains about a mission and the snacks not being for her, it'll probably be fine! ]

Indeed. [He nods severely.] One of the worst fates known to man.

[ She's not going to disagree there, Shikamaru. ]

I don't get scolded that much! Well, daddy scolded us, but I guess it's easier to watch less of us than all of us at once?

[ And it's just different. Beyond the hyperactivity of three children compared to two - one of whom was the most stable and serious of the airbending children - Aang and Katara tended to be a lot more flexible and less stressed than her father ever had been. Aang usually was right there with Ikki playing around, come to think of it. ]

Well, and grandpa is looooots more playful than daddy.

[-aha. And that reminds him that Tenzin is gone home too.]

I talked to your dad once. He seemed like a good guy. [...heh.] I think he took more after Katara.

[ It's pretty hard to connect the hyperactive social child to the uptight council leader. Or the laid-back Avatar. ]

Maaaaaaaaaybe! He's the youngest, y'know, but I think he probably had the most responsibility, 'cause that's what mommy says, 'cause he was the only airbender. [ shrug, not that he can see it. ] Jinora reminds me lots of Katara, too.

I still haven't met her yet, you know.

Just go to the library an' you will. [ SURPRISINGLY DEADPAN. ] That's where she spends most've her time, even though there's looooooooots of people to meet and things to do here!

Ah, or I guess if you came over nearer to dinner time, 'cause we have to be at home by then.

And watch Katara flip out because she wasn't expecting the extra mouth? Ha. I might have to risk the book place.

Well, you'd ask first! Or I could always drag her out to meet you!

Ah, she wears clothes like mine and keeps her hair short, with a bun to one side. I drew a picture of her before, remember? [ ...It really shouldn't be too hard to locate her, though. Or recognize her. ]

Oh yeah. I should be able to pick her out, based on that. It's only a matter of looking for someone more three dimensional, huh?

Hey, if your village is hidden how do people find you to give you missions? [ This is a niggling question she's had ever since a brief history lesson courtesy Lee. ]

Yup! You're a chunin and're one of the first of your class to get there which is 'cause you're smart and cool and had to pass a special exam for it an' you're on a team with Ino who likes flowers and Chouji who's in an Akimichi clan and eats a lot and your families were close an' your teacher was Asuma and you live in the Land of Fire in Konoha an' someone named Hokage is in charge although I guess there's a landlord in charge of the Land which makes sense cause they'd be a LORD of the LAND and for some reason there's a Land of Lightning but other than that all four lands are basically our nations, huh?
