three whirlwinds. VIDEO + ACTION.

[ Strange. Definitely very strange. Ikki knew the room, because it was hers, but it wasn't right. Things weren't there, or were cleaned away, and although she searched around for it, she couldn't find her box or her clothes or even her sister. No matter how hard she tried to think about it, she couldn't really make things mesh in her head.

...Oh well! Humming softly to herself, Ikki opens the journal, going to her favourite setting - video. She doesn't look overly worried, although she's more or less baffled - she fully expects someone will find her and explain things, or at least tell her where to go. ]

Jinoraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! D'you have my things? Or does someone else? 'Cause I can't find 'em. Or you, so I'm using this, although I dunno the chances of you reading this book instead of another book. [ Pouting. It would be so much easier if her sister weren't constantly buried in books. At least there's a very good chance some of her other family members will see this. At least, that's the entire plan - so far as Ikki plans anything. ]

Y'know, I could have really important news and you'd miss it 'cause I can't find you! I mean, I don't. I think. I mean, I guess I sorta do, but not ACTUALLY and if you'd read this you'd probably KNOW it already. I mean, I can probably think of some! But anyway my POINT is that now I'm gonna have to run over to the library 'cause that's probably where you are, and if you aren't I'm basically gonna have to run around everywhere instead 'cause maybe you decided to go sit and read on a bench but how do I know if you did, you know? And it's not like I know all the little places you could be or might be 'cause I'm not totally sure about that right now and anyway this is a bigger area to check than usual which is ANNOYING 'cause I don't know where you are for SURE and you might not be where I think you are and you might not even be where I don't think you are, and that gets CONFUSING.

[ Apparently that was all on one breath, because she has to pause to take another, still gesturing vaguely with her hands. ] Or! I guess I'll go check for my clothes first, 'cause the dress is nice an' all but at least that'd be some of my things down, I guess? An' that's on the way anyway, so I guess that works! But! If you're not here, then you might be there? I mean, 'cause where else would you sleep? [ She's not even really talking to her sister any longer, if she ever was. Hrm. ] 'Kay! So I'll go get my clothes, and then go back and check if you're at the other house. [ Aaaand that's a wrap. Video function ended. Feel free to hit her up in journals/on the path of House 58 > shops > House 56, if you want. ]

[ And post picking up her clothing, Ikki wanders back to her second household - which was the first, a little while back - to locate any of the relatives she hadn't managed to find to begin with. She does not actually knock on the door, but will just go inside and track down anyone who is there. And also probably take an apple or something to eat. ]

[ It's easy to return the hug. She can remember the first time she ever got to hug her grandfather, and it feels a little like that, in a weird way. She wanted to say she missed him, except she didn't, because until she woke up again she hadn't ever been here, as far as she knew. ]

It's really nice to see you, too, grandpa. [ Which is true, but not enough to explain. Still, Ikki just grins. ] I made us snacks!

[Aang knows that feel; he did first arrive to a Katara and Sokka who were missing him when he had just been with them back home. He holds onto her tightly for a moment, discreetly waterbending his tears away before he pulls back to give her a goofy smile.]

Thanks, Ikki! That's really nice of you.

Yep! I made them specially and was waiting for you! [ ...Okay she'll just sort of take the one that looks smaller for mysterious reasons, and will push the other one towards Aang. ]

[Keeping up the grin, he looks towards the snacks.]

You didn't have to do that much, Ikki! But it looks delicious. [He sits himself down, ready to taste. But he looks back at Ikki first.] Oh... you dropped something, Ikki.

Well, I was hungry! [ She blinks, looking around. ] What? Where?

I know! But you didn't have to put that much work into mine, too, it's even bigger than yours.

But... [His smile grows warmer.] Right here.

[He reaches for something that's around his neck but concealed beneath his robes. He pulls out the prayer beads and holds them in front of Ikki.]

[ ...Well. At the start it wasn't. Cue nervous laughter, she's such a great liar. ] 'Cause you're bigger!

[ Oh, but that distracts her. She brightens up instantly, guilt of manners forgotten, and reaches out to take back the beads. She'd worn them every day here, after getting them, and it takes no thought at all to loop them around her right wrist, where they'd been throughout her first stay. ] You found them!

[He laughs. The poor girl doesn't have reason to feel guilty - Aang would understand and not even see rudeness in eating early. He's probably done the same himself. But then he goes back to a warm smile as she takes the beads.]

I did! I had to hold onto them to make sure you were okay back home. But now they can go back to you, Ikki.

I won't lose them! [ Admittedly she hadn't lost them last time, so much as...time paradox, and that sort of thing. ] Is Jinora at the library? [ She'd assumed if her sister was there, all the noise from the kitchen would have drawn her in to see what was going on. ]

I know you won't, Avatar princess. [He pats her on the head.] And yeah, she should be there now! [He looks over at the treat, ready to take a first bite.]

Is she on the top bunk or the bottom bunk, d'you know? [ Ikki couldn't tell, and this is important information.

She gathers up her spoon again, and gets some yogurt with delicious sliced banana on it. Eating a parfait is serious business. ]

I think she's on the tippy top bunk. [Aang scoops up a similar spoonful and holds it forward as if he were making a toast.] To more super fun times! [And hopefully less sadness. He still can't believe this. He's ecstatic to be spending time with his granddaughter again.]

[ Monkeyfeathers. Oh well, the bottom bunk is fun, too! If she tucks some extra sheets into the bottom of Jinora's mattress, Ikki can have a fort. Yes. ] And lots of new people! [ Ikki mimics her grandfather, tapping her spoon very carefully against his, so as not to lose any of the contents. ]

[~~Or it could be retconned to the opposite if we actually ask Katt to pick Jinora's bunk~~.] Yeah, there's already a bunch of nice new people around! [He then swallows his spoonful.] Mm, great!

[~~Psh, Ikki will consider whichever bunk she gets to be the most amazing. And really, fort shenanigans~~ Ikki happily does the same, although this is her fourth or fifth spoonful.] I met one! Well, I talked to one. Sora, he's one of Ven's friends - d'you remember Ven? He turned seventeen in july but he didn't have a party 'cause he forgot apparently - but that's it so far. Oh, and I learned how to make these from mommy! Well, with different fruits. But y'know!

[He listens carefully as he swallows his bite. It's time to get used to keeping up with all of Ikki's points all over again.]

Ventus? I remember him, but I haven't met Sora. That's too bad that he didn't have a party. [And he gives a toothy grin at the last part.] You learned that from your mommy? That's really nice. She must be real good at this stuff. [It must be great.]

[ And she's not even in top form, since she has to pause to eat some of her snack every so often! ]

Sora says we should throw him a party! I think he can probably get Aqua and Terra to help 'cause they're Ven's family, although I only ever talked to Aqua and I guess Terra is new-new or newer than Aqua and Sora wanted to know how to find her but I wasn't sure so I didn't know what to tell him! And mommy is! I mean, good at cooking! She doesn't do all of our cooking 'cause the acolytes do help, but she does lots! I think she likes it. And anyway it's fun, I think, 'cause you get to make loooooooots of things and they're all delicious!

Well, unless you burn something, but then you just learn not to burn things!

[He licks up the remainder of that scoop, then scoops up some more.]

Oh, really? That sounds real nice. I don't know think I've met any of them, but I hope I get to! And that's real nice to know. It sounds like the air acolytes are real helpful, too. And you're right - burning things are never fun, but then you learn your lesson. [Trying not remember the time he accidentally scorched GranGran...] Did anything interesting happen while you were at home?

[ Ikki shrugs, shaking her head. ] Not really. We went back home, and were doing loooooooots of cleaning, but nothing really happened. I mean, we cleaned! That happened. But I dunno if that counts as interesting 'cause really it was just something we had to do unless we wanted everything to be all not cleaned.

[That's good. Cleaning's good. Cleaning means things are still fine and peaceful.]

Lots of cleaning, huh? The it sounds like you really earned this snack, Ikki.

[They're more or less that. Ikki has no exciting information to impart this time - unless Aang still doesn't have some of her previous information. ]

Yep! I helped out lots! We all did, though.

[He's pretty much it all down - more than he'd like to know. Of course he had no idea whether or not she was taken from further in the future ~~(He doesn't know we have to wait another year from that)~~.]

That's great. Working together like a family. Just like we do here!

Yep! And I got to see everyone again, except I didn't know I missed them, 'cause I didn't remember about here until I was here again.

Yeah. That's what it's like, or so I hear. [He takes a moment to squeeze her shoulder.] But at least now you have fresh memories of them to keep you company.

[And while they're talking, Momo slips onto the table and plucks a piece of banana from Aang's parfait to begin chewing on.]

[ Especially her mother and brothers, who she hadn't seen in such a long time. ] Did anyone else you know come here? It's another new people time, huh?

[ She giggles at Momo, and fishes out one of her own banana pieces to offer to the small creature. ]
