[ Strange. Definitely very strange. Ikki knew the room, because it was hers, but it wasn't right. Things weren't there, or were cleaned away, and although she searched around for it, she couldn't find her box or her clothes or even her sister. No matter how hard she tried to think about it, she couldn't really make things mesh in her head.

...Oh well! Humming softly to herself, Ikki opens the journal, going to her favourite setting - video. She doesn't look overly worried, although she's more or less baffled - she fully expects someone will find her and explain things, or at least tell her where to go. ]

Jinoraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! D'you have my things? Or does someone else? 'Cause I can't find 'em. Or you, so I'm using this, although I dunno the chances of you reading this book instead of another book. [ Pouting. It would be so much easier if her sister weren't constantly buried in books. At least there's a very good chance some of her other family members will see this. At least, that's the entire plan - so far as Ikki plans anything. ]

Y'know, I could have really important news and you'd miss it 'cause I can't find you! I mean, I don't. I think. I mean, I guess I sorta do, but not ACTUALLY and if you'd read this you'd probably KNOW it already. I mean, I can probably think of some! But anyway my POINT is that now I'm gonna have to run over to the library 'cause that's probably where you are, and if you aren't I'm basically gonna have to run around everywhere instead 'cause maybe you decided to go sit and read on a bench but how do I know if you did, you know? And it's not like I know all the little places you could be or might be 'cause I'm not totally sure about that right now and anyway this is a bigger area to check than usual which is ANNOYING 'cause I don't know where you are for SURE and you might not be where I think you are and you might not even be where I don't think you are, and that gets CONFUSING.

[ Apparently that was all on one breath, because she has to pause to take another, still gesturing vaguely with her hands. ] Or! I guess I'll go check for my clothes first, 'cause the dress is nice an' all but at least that'd be some of my things down, I guess? An' that's on the way anyway, so I guess that works! But! If you're not here, then you might be there? I mean, 'cause where else would you sleep? [ She's not even really talking to her sister any longer, if she ever was. Hrm. ] 'Kay! So I'll go get my clothes, and then go back and check if you're at the other house. [ Aaaand that's a wrap. Video function ended. Feel free to hit her up in journals/on the path of House 58 > shops > House 56, if you want. ]

[ And post picking up her clothing, Ikki wanders back to her second household - which was the first, a little while back - to locate any of the relatives she hadn't managed to find to begin with. She does not actually knock on the door, but will just go inside and track down anyone who is there. And also probably take an apple or something to eat. ]

Yep! And I got to see everyone again, except I didn't know I missed them, 'cause I didn't remember about here until I was here again.

Yeah. That's what it's like, or so I hear. [He takes a moment to squeeze her shoulder.] But at least now you have fresh memories of them to keep you company.

[And while they're talking, Momo slips onto the table and plucks a piece of banana from Aang's parfait to begin chewing on.]

[ Especially her mother and brothers, who she hadn't seen in such a long time. ] Did anyone else you know come here? It's another new people time, huh?

[ She giggles at Momo, and fishes out one of her own banana pieces to offer to the small creature. ]

[Momo tilts his head at her as he finishes Aang's bananas piece and gives some excited chittering which seems to carry the air of "Welcome back young airbender!" before proceeding forward to claim and chew into the banana piece.]

Yeah, it's new people time alright. [Her return being what he least expected this time... even if it's what he wanted the most.] There's no one I know from my present, but someone else did arrive from your time. Korra's friend Bolin.

BOLIN'S HERE? [ Oh wow eardrums aren't necessary, right? But hey, Ikki knows that guy! BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY: ] Is Pabu with him???? Can I play with him? Is he from ahead or behind me, d'you know? Is Pabu okay? Pabu is sooooooooooooo cute! He's this fire ferret and Jinora went on and on about something but I wasn't listening 'cause he was SOOOOOOO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

[Aang is only slightly phased while Momo takes tries holding up the half-eaten banana piece as the shield. Aang winds up laughing.]

Yep! Pabu's here and he's a really cute ferret. I'm sure they'll both be real glad to see you, Ikki.

[ Probably sad that Pabu got more of her attention there than Bolin but being a cute fire ferret will get you all the small children. Unfortunately. ]

He knows tricks and he's soft and really fast! [ Which she may or may not know from running around chasing him. ]

[Aang doesn't blame her, from what he's seen of Pabu.]

He does, huh? I should get him to show me some tricks. And maybe he can teach some to Momo, too! [Momo stares forward, making an inquisitive gurgle.]

Or you can make some up! Like - super airbending pet tricks!

That's a great idea, Ikki! [He says excitedly, some specks of yogurt spraying from his mouth.] I can't believe I never thought of it before. And... that also reminds me. I never got to show you the best airbending trick I know.

[ That sounds important enough that Ikki momentarily stops her snack. The best airbending trick? ] A new trick???

Yes! Watch me, Ikki!

[Aang hops out of the chair, brimming with excitement. He had felt such crushing regret that Ikki had left without him ever getting to show her this trick; he realize it was foolish to have held it off when she was first around.

He nervously fumbles into his robes to grab something, holds it between two cupped hands and then, with the hands held towards Ikki, he opens them to reveal...]

[...a set of marbles spinning between his hands. He looks towards her grinning broadly.]

[ Chances of Tenzin ever showing his children this trick are...fairly low, but even if she'd seen it before Ikki's reaction would be exactly what it is now: pure glee, clapping and leaning forward.

Airbending tricks are always the best! Ikki abandoned her parfait, leaning closer to her grandfather. ]

Cooooool! Hey, can you make them go in a figure eight? Can I try? Did you make it up yourself? Where'd you get the marbles?

[Her admiration of the trick feeds his heart.]

Figure eight? Let's go for it! [He focuses a second and redirects it into a figure eight.] You can try too, sure! Want me to send you some marbles? And I did make it up myself, these marbles are from the Southern Air Temple!

[ Ikki is the best person to show airbending tricks to. She will never not be impressed, Aang.

She will also never not turn it into a game. ]

Yeah! [ Ikki positions her own hands, a bit wider than Aang's, and has to focus for a minute to work up a tiny current, to catch whatever he throws. ]

Alright. Here, have some.

[He slowly sends off two marbles from his ring towards Ikki's hands. This is so fun.]

[ Conversations with grandpa seem to involve a lot of spur-of-the-moment airbending games. Sneaky training!

Ikki stays quiet for a few moments, catching the marbles with her own breeze, and focusing on the marbles between her palms long enough to make certain she can do it. She'd been watching Aang, but the marbles are small and figuring out how to balance them takes up all her attention for a little while.

It's pretty rare to see her quiet and calm, unless she's been told to meditate. When she's trying out new airbending moves, though, she automatically clears her mind like she's supposed to. Seven plus years of learning does that to a girl.

When she's reasonably certain the marbles won't fall out of whack, Ikki grins, looking back up at Aang for approval, although she's just doing a simple circle rather than attempting a more complex figure. ]

[Aang could only wish that he intended this as stealth training - he was actually just really glad to share the technique. He watched Ikki get the hang of it with awe. He had never seen the marble trick being performed by anyone else before. That it was Ikki made it an even more precious sight. Aang tried to keep his eyes from glistening with pride; and when Ikki looked back at him, he was grinning back at her.]

That's amazing, Ikki. You're a real natural.

[ The accomplished grin turns just a little bit cheeky. ]

I had a good teacher! [ and now everyone in the house will probably get this demonstrated to them several times over the next day or so, because of course. ]

Either way, I see a bright airbending future for you, Pupil Ikki! [He slows his own marbles down.]

I can even tell where you're gonna get your own arrow someday. Right... [He leans forward to briefly tap her forehead with a kiss.] here!

[ She wrinkles her nose, laughing, and pulls her hands farther apart, trying to see how far she can go before the marbles spin out of control. ]

I've still got loooooooooots of forms to go, though! When I grow up, I'm definitely going to go visit lots of places. [ Beyond the island, Republic City, and the south pole? There's loads of places Ikki's never been. She mentions it casually, although it's years away and she's not even in that world. ] An' be a real nomad!

[And Aang watches on in admiration while keeping his own marbles spinning.]

You do, but I know you can handle them. And that'd be wonderful, Ikki. I should see if Sokka has a map of home around somewhere... then I can show you a whole bunch of neat places that are my favorite to visit! There are a whole lot of animals out there to ride.

[ aaaaaaand she finds the limit, and has to throw her hands wider and then close all at once, recatching them. Ikki lets the marbles fall into her hands, and examines them closely, curious. She's not too bothered about messing up. ]

Like what? I've ridden an otter penguin before! But that's it. Well, no - 'cause Oogi and Naga, I've ridden them! But not much else 'cause we don't travel all that much. Oh! I've been in a satomobile before! But we didn't actually get to drive it, just play in it.

[Aang drops his own marbles around the same time to make her feel better anyway. He gives her a soft pat on the back for her effort, and a nostalgic smile crosses his face at the mention of an otter penguin.]

That's a great start, Ikki! But there's plenty of other neat animals you can ride- once you get your arrows and can take care of yourself, of course. There's giant koi fish to surf on by some of the islands, but you just gotta watch out for the Unagi by Kyoshi Island, cuz it's dangerous and difficult to ride. He almost ate Ol' Grandpa here! There's also the hopping llamas in the Earth Kingdom. They're real funny! And you can't forget the hog-monkeys. They don't like it when you ride them, but that's what makes it fun!
