Well, yeah! I mean, it's sort of...I think it's a bit different. They do it because it's part of their culture, and it's not...the same. I think. At least, it feels different from the times I've seen people really, truly fight.
[ Fenimore's gaze follows Ikki's and...okay, that's a little weird. But she has absolutely no idea what the chicky bird eyes are supposed to mean. She's rather slow on the uptake when it comes to her pet and she's never met Soren before. ]

Ques sometimes just stares at people when he's bored or curious [ since she doesn't really distinguish between types of stares ] but when he wants something, it's usually food.

Fenimore considers this. She can guess that a seven-year-old is not going to schedule her own meals very thoroughly, but...well, her family presumably ensures that she eats at least not too unhealthily, so it's probably fine for a bird.]
I suppose that works out pretty well for him. Ques just eats whenever anyone is willing to give him food, if I let him.
