[ Ikki's 99.9% certain this new feather season isn't when it should be, but she's not going to complain about new people to talk to! That would be silly. She's going to go about her usual activities, i.e. airbending practice, school, training with Soren, and playing around at the fountain, the bakery (her pal Rapunzel works there, and she likes baked goods okay), or the playground.

She's extremely easy to flag down, and will happily talk to pretty much everyone with very few exceptions. She will also offer tours around Luceti to anyone remotely lost looking.

Beware how much she talks once you get her going, though. ]

[It's pretty hard not to notice a kid playing around at the fountain if she's doing what she'd usually be doing, airbending and all, but Chien is on a goddamn mission to find her and Soren. They're separate missions in the end if he wasn't with her, but he wouldn't know til he found one or the other. Thankfully they're constant companions.

... He's pretty much awkward in trying to decide how to approach the playing pair and, after hesitating, gives a stern call + wave. He's learned quite a bit since the last time they saw each other and he's going to put it into practice!]

[ She's completely doing what she's used to doing - and Soren's helping out, because they pretty much play 24/7 when they're not doing training. His air attacks have likely gotten better under Ikki's tutelage, just because he's been practicing with her in airbending; they're pretty good about flying together now, too, because, well. Flying is awesome!

Ikki definitely didn't notice until she heard the voice, which stops both of them still, because she remembers that voice.

Give her a second to spot him after looking around, although Soren noticed already and he will just be going over there - hurry up kiddo.

They're both going to reach him at about the same time, one with a tackle hug and the other with a, uh, tackle. :|a Let's see how that works out for him. ] Chien!!!!

[OOF well, they're all on the ground if that's anything!

Dumb bird. Dumb kid. Though his memory isn't so sharp as to remember exactly how Soren'd been doing, even he can tell the bird got better. With a grumble that's more embarrassed than angry, Chien pushes at the two.]

Get off, both of you! [Okay but he really is happy to see them too, which is why he's not pushing hard enough to actually get them off. Even that quickly turns into affectionate pats for Soren and a flustered blush.

"Friends" are stupid!!] I'm... I'm sorry about leaving.

[ Yes, he'll probably have to try a bit harder to get either of them to get off, since Ikki dissolved into giggles at the order and Soren probably just. Looked at Chien. C'mon you know you missed them. They know you did!

Ikki does shake her head when he apologizes, though, sitting up and getting off to the side. Since. Well, she shouldn't just keep him tackled. ] You don't have to apologize!! That wasn't your fault. It's just good that you're back.

[ if only she knew. But for now? She's happy to see him again, after the intervening months. ] I missed you. We both missed you!

[ Because you were important, and still are. ]

[Chien feels a dull ache in his chest when he hears that he doesn't have to apologize, that it's not his fault, that they missed him. It hadn't been his fault that Mathias had gotten the Manifest either - that he'd been fooled into believing her damn promises - and that's still really fresh for him, just like this missing thing and actually having friends and stuff.

He humphs and pulls Soren closer so she doesn't see him crying a little. He's just a kid after all. His words are muffled a little, but totally audible.]

Yeah, well, stop it. I'm not leaving again. I swear. [If only he knew. But for now, he's happy.]

And you! [Soren!! Dumb bird. He leans back, tears forgotten for the moment, and frowns.] Have you been taking care of her? You better have behaved for her.

[ He's just a kid, and so is she. And Soren, in his own way. Ikki's not going to call him out on crying, anyway, she's just so happy he's back. ] I have so many people to introduce you to!!

[ Oh man, Chien, Soren has got this. He is so good at taking care of Ikki! Granted she's normally not getting into too much danger (see above thread re: running away from anyone dangerous per house rules and also NOPE) but he's all over protecting her. He needs an award for how great he is at it.

Yeah, most of their days are playing or practicing together, so he's not got a lot of reason to protect, but he's totally on it. ]

[He'll catch him a squirrel or something. Later. But Soren is just getting Chien's quiet appreciation right now. Good bird. He didn't remember how much he missed him - and this place, actually - until he came back.]

Like who? [Seriously-- wait hold on.] Hold on, who don't you need to introduce me to.

[BECAUSE HE REMEMBERS SHE'S P. MUCH A SOCIAL BUTTERFLY WHO KNOWS THE WHOLE VILLAGE.]

[ Awww, you remembered, Chien! That saves you a huge, top-speed list of everyone she's met since he left, and furthermore confuses her into momentary silence. ]

We-ell, I'm not sure who I don't need you to meet, 'cause I probably haven't met them yet, either?

[Great. Sure, Chien had a lot of, uh, "friends" or... something like that before, but meeting people still wasn't on the top of his list.]

And how many people are we going to see, exactly!? [Totally baffled. Please don't be like, a hundred. Or fifty. Or even ten!]

[ ...Chien have you met her. ]

Well, we can meet them tomorrow so you have a chance to settle back in - I bet your old place is still free! - buuuuuuuut...LOTS.
