[ Strange. Definitely very strange. Ikki knew the room, because it was hers, but it wasn't right. Things weren't there, or were cleaned away, and although she searched around for it, she couldn't find her box or her clothes or even her sister. No matter how hard she tried to think about it, she couldn't really make things mesh in her head.

...Oh well! Humming softly to herself, Ikki opens the journal, going to her favourite setting - video. She doesn't look overly worried, although she's more or less baffled - she fully expects someone will find her and explain things, or at least tell her where to go. ]

Jinoraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! D'you have my things? Or does someone else? 'Cause I can't find 'em. Or you, so I'm using this, although I dunno the chances of you reading this book instead of another book. [ Pouting. It would be so much easier if her sister weren't constantly buried in books. At least there's a very good chance some of her other family members will see this. At least, that's the entire plan - so far as Ikki plans anything. ]

Y'know, I could have really important news and you'd miss it 'cause I can't find you! I mean, I don't. I think. I mean, I guess I sorta do, but not ACTUALLY and if you'd read this you'd probably KNOW it already. I mean, I can probably think of some! But anyway my POINT is that now I'm gonna have to run over to the library 'cause that's probably where you are, and if you aren't I'm basically gonna have to run around everywhere instead 'cause maybe you decided to go sit and read on a bench but how do I know if you did, you know? And it's not like I know all the little places you could be or might be 'cause I'm not totally sure about that right now and anyway this is a bigger area to check than usual which is ANNOYING 'cause I don't know where you are for SURE and you might not be where I think you are and you might not even be where I don't think you are, and that gets CONFUSING.

[ Apparently that was all on one breath, because she has to pause to take another, still gesturing vaguely with her hands. ] Or! I guess I'll go check for my clothes first, 'cause the dress is nice an' all but at least that'd be some of my things down, I guess? An' that's on the way anyway, so I guess that works! But! If you're not here, then you might be there? I mean, 'cause where else would you sleep? [ She's not even really talking to her sister any longer, if she ever was. Hrm. ] 'Kay! So I'll go get my clothes, and then go back and check if you're at the other house. [ Aaaand that's a wrap. Video function ended. [ And post picking up her clothing, Ikki wanders back to her second household - which was the first, a little while back - to locate any of the relatives she hadn't managed to find to begin with. She does not actually knock on the door, but will just go inside and track down anyone who is there. And also probably take an apple or something to eat. ]

I did, didn't I? Well ninja techniques are divided into three different types of jutsus. There is genjutsu, which is based on making illusions. And there is ninjutsu, which consists of a wide variety of specialized ninja techniques. Both of those require chakra, which is the energy within us. However, taijutsu is hand-to-hand combat, and it does not require chakras. I have never been able to sufficiently channel my chakra to perform ninjutsu or genjutsu, so I have become a ninja only by working hard through taijutsu.

And... perhaps you would be better off asking Shikamaru-kun about his way of the ninja himself. I do not wish to divulge private matters. And oh, every ninja has their own way. It is difficult to recount specific ones, since not many state them very plainly. I do know that Naruto-kun wishes to become worthy of being Hokage one day. [And do some murder-suicide with Sasuke, but... yeah, seven-year old.]

Chakras like chakra points? [ She feels a bit more on solid footing with chakra points, since she knows those are a thing. Still, she's taking notes. ] Ummm, so your chakra points are blocked?

Okay! I will! An' so Hokage isn't someone's name, but it's a job?

Ah... it is not exactly like that. Chakra is the energy inside us, and it flows through us in a chakra network. Perhaps you could say mine is blocked in some ways, but I can still channel chakra to some degree.

It is both a job and a title!

So, how d'you become a Hokage?

You... have a different sort of chakra?

Well, the Hokage is whoever leads the village of Konoha at the time. When one Hokage retires, they will then choose a successor. If that person is... unable, then the decision usually falls to a special council. In most cases, it is the strongest ninja of the village who is appointed, who is shown to have great skill and exceptional leadership.

Well, you said it's not exactly the same! And it sounds a bit different, but also the same? I dunno!

So is Shikamaru gonna be Hokage?

Ah... this is true. Perhaps I shall research further into this matter.

I am sure he would make a capable Hokage one day, when he is older. But does he have the motivation? Currently, Naruto-kun is the one from our generation who is most driven towards that goal. But the village's actual favorite would seem to be his mentor, Kakashi-Sensei.

So Kakashi-Sensei is really strong?

He is! In fact, he is the only ninja worthy of being my own mentor's greatest rival!

So they don't like one another?

On the contrary! Gai Sensei and Kakashi Sensei respect each other with a deepest passion. It is because they are such intimate friends that they seek to overcome each other. I think similarly with my closest comrades!

Sensei is like sifu, isn't it?

"Sifu" means teacher, correct? So does sensei! It is one's mentor.

Yep! Grandpa is my Sifu in airbending now, but I...don't call him that. Sifu Grandpa sounds weird.

Ah, I see! Two titles together would just clash. And 'Grandpa-Sensei' sounds just as awkward.
