Hi! This is Ikki. I'm writing this time. Since people keep asking about mommy and daddy, I drew pictures. And then some of people here who I met and my family here!

This is my family at home! That's me and my sister Jinora, and then Meelo is on Daddy's head, and Mommy and Daddy are holding Rohan. We're all at Air Temple Island there!

This is my family here! We're in a pink place because I wanted to use pink. It's me and Grandpa and Katara and Uncle Sokka and Aunt Toph and Uncle Roku and Uncle Zuko!

And this is everyone I met so far! It's Shikamaru who's super nice and cool and makes really really great shadows, and Nomi and Luke who are like an Avatar but not, and Chien and Soren, who don't bend air, and Vivi, who has the prettiest hair ever!

Also I got a swim suit and an apple and candy and soda and a room in our house, and it's the best best best best house ever!

Well, my family's a little different. There's my Master, Eraqus, who's a little strict sometimes, but he's always looking out for me and my friends. He's like a teacher and a guardian rolled into one, and he's really dedicated to protecting the worlds from darkness.

[Of course, he did leave Ven in the dark about his past, but hey. He had his reasons.]

Then there's Terra and Aqua, my best friends. I've known 'em for as long as I can remember, and they're sorta like the brother and sister I never had. Terra's really strong, but when he's not caught up in his training, he's a lot of fun to hang around. And Aqua... she's kind, caring, and great with magic. Sometimes she gets a little protective, but I know it's just 'cause she cares.

[Whew! That was more long-winded than he expected, but Ven could go on and on about his friends/family.]

The worlds? [ Ikki sounds intrigued. ] So you come from a place that knows there's other places? I didn't know there were 'till I got here. What darkness?

[ she listens really closely to the description of his friends/family. Ikki likes to talk about hers, too, after all. ] They sound really great! Are they here, too?

Oh, and what's your name?

That's right! We're all Keybearers, so our job's to protect the worlds' balance and make sure nothing serious happens. And that's where darkness comes in. Just about everyone's got a little bit in their heart, but if people sink too deeply into it, it usually consumes 'em. Guess you could think of it as negativity given form. Usually darkness feeds on people who're angry, selfish, or obsessed with power.

[At least, that's his understanding.]

As for Terra and Aqua, they aren't here now, but that doesn't mean they won't show up sooner or later! Same goes for Master Eraqus.

[DEEP BREATHS, and then, finally.]

And the name's Ventus-- but you can call me Ven.

[ other worlds are still fascinating to her. They probably won't ever not be, since it's basically like reading a new storybook each time you meet someone from a new place. ] What's the key you bear? Or is it just a title? [ she thinks about the darkness a bit. It seems reasonable, and Ikki wonders what it looks like, and how much she has. But then the curiosity passes, in favour of new questions. ]

They will! But 'till then, you can be my brother, if you want. 'Cause I'm missing two, and you're missing two people, too. It's nice to meetcha, Ven!

It's more than just a title! We're called Keybearers because we use weapons called Keyblades. Just picture a giant key crossed with a sword, and that's basically what they look like.

[Except they're maaagical, but he'll touch on that later, maybe.]

Nice to meet you too, Ikki! And, hey, if you want me to be your brother, I don't see why not.

[He's learned the ropes of brodom from Terra, after all.]

[ She's picturing it. AND MIGHT PRETEND A STICK IS ONE IN THE FUTURE. ] Do they cut things or open doors? [ you can hear the head tilt, basically. ]

Cool! Then you are, so that's that! Now you do have family here. See?

It's kinda a bit of both! Keyblades can open just about any lock, and they're really powerful weapons. Good for hitting, slicing, and they can even use magic.

[He's happy to satisfy her curiosity, really! Ven's used to being questioned baout the oddities in his world, after all.]

And, yep, now it's official. I'll just have to make sure I do a good job. Wouldn't wanna mess things up!

Even really small locks? [ this is impressive stuff, man. Ikki's voice has sheer awe in it, because wow. ]

It's not hard! You just play with me and we have fun together!

Even the smallest ones you can think of.

[It's magic. What is logic?]

And, you know, that doesn't sound too hard at all! I think I can pull it off.

So if people get locked out of houses, do you go and save 'em? [ MUNDANE USES FOR SUPERPOWERS: number 526 ]

It'll be fun!

Well, usually I fight monsters, but I've helped people out with their problems before. If somebody did get locked out, then I'd be happy to lend a hand.

[It's his job as the big, dorky hero, after all!]

Does it shrink to fit small locks?

Nah, but I have been shrunken down before!

[He's not entirely sure how it happened, though. It was only in one world.]

Really? How small were you? Did you go on an adventure? Was it long? Did you fight spiders?

About the size of a mouse.

[Heck, Cinderella even mistook him for one.]

But I definitely went on an adventure. See, this girl named Cinderella was trying to make a dress for the ball, but her mean Stepmother kept forcing her to work so she'd never be able to go. That's why me and a mouse named Jaq teamed up to gather some supplies. 'Course, I wound up having to fight off some monsters on the way, and even a big, grumpy cat!

[No spiders, though. Cats are probably more exciting, anyway.]

That's terrible about her stepmother! But I'm glad she got to go! [ Ikki pauses, then realizes that wasn't actually covered in his story. ] She did get to go, right?

Well, me and Jaq finished up her dress, so I'm sure she made it in time!

[At least, that's what Ven's hoping, but he never did get to see her to the ball.]

Good! [ There's clear relief and cheer in her voice at this. ] I hope she had a really nice time! Maybe someday someone who knows about that dance will come here, y'know? And we could ask!

Hey, you never know! People from all kinds of worlds pop up here. What's stopping Jaq or even Cinderella from dropping by?

If they come here, will you introduce me to them, Ven?

Hey, you bet! The same goes for any of my other friends.

It's a promise! And I'll let you meet my friends, too!
