Name: Ikki!
Fandom: Avatar: Legend of Korra!
Gender: Female!
Age: Seven!
Time Period: Post Season 1!
Wing Color: A very pale yellow, nearly white!
History: Here!
Personality: Of Tenzin's four children, Ikki easily has the most to say - normally at top speed and occasionally at top volume. For any given situation or statement she has dozens of questions - which admittedly sometimes have very little to do with what was being talked about beforehand (see: interrupting anything she considers "boring" or less important in order to ask every single question to flicker through her mind). Unabashedly curious about just about everything, Ikki bounces from one topic to the next without slowing down or even allowing people to take a breath to answer. That said, she can take turned tables without batting an eye - Bolin pulled an Ikki and shot off question after question, upon moving to Air Temple Island, and Ikki paused for maybe five seconds before answering them all in order.

Ikki seems to have no filter at all - she asked Asami, one of Korra's friends, if she knew that Korra liked Mako, who happened to be Asami's boyfriend, for example, and another time asked her GranGran Katara how old the woman was, after informing her that she was really old looking, and yet another time she informed a visiting Council member that he was weird and smelled funny (to her father's despair) - and "restraint" seems to be something that only Jinora inherited. Maybe if Ikki's parents are really lucky her new baby brother Rohan will end up being a slightly more mellow child, too. Considering that Ikki and Meelo seem to be the rule rather than the exception, though...well, good luck with that, airparents. Even Jinora has her moments, particularly when she's with Ikki - the two sisters often tease Korra (memorably they give her advice on her love life, with each sister having rather a unique outlook on things, to say the least), and they can be fairly giggly when put together. Ikki's a stellar influence on her serious older sister, clearly.

At first glance Ikki seems to have inherited pretty much zero of her father's serious nature - or at the very least she leans towards cheerful energy rather than seriousness. She has shown herself capable of meditating without interruption, for example, but once Korra broke the meditation lesson Ikki was pretty much willing to go and do something else as well. When situations are serious, though, Ikki is perfectly capable of being serious as well. She proved that when she jumped in with Jinora and Meelo to protect Air Temple Island when it was under attack by Amon's forces, and proved it again when she understood the seriousness of their situation after that.

The reason she doesn't seem to be serious even despite her serious moments? Ikki is, above all, upbeat. She's cheerful and optimistic, energetic and playful. While she saw her home invaded - and was eventually forced to flee, and was then captured after they thought they had escaped - Ikki was capable of honestly smiling and cheerfully introducing herself to her new baby brother. She has never been the sort of girl to allow fear to rule her, throughout the series - while Ikki easily admits to being afraid to her father when he returns to find his family curled up together with Pema in his bed, waiting, she doesn't seem to let that rule how she acts on a day to day basis. During the series, Ikki can typically be found playing around, if she isn't training under her father's watchful eye. From chasing cute animals around to pretending to drive a car that Korra received as a bribe present, Ikki is always up to something so long as she's awake.

Strengths:
physical: Small and built for speed! Ikki is basically able to keep up with her motor mouth in a physical sense, bouncing around without seeming to need to slow down, and she's not that easy to catch - ask her father, Tenzin. Always seems to have energy to spare and then some, it isn't out of the ordinary to find Ikki as one of the root causes of Tenzin's frequent child-rearing-related stress. Ikki is also an airbender - one of the four types of benders in Avatarland, airbenders can manipulate the air - Ikki typically uses her bending to bounce around, fly up in the air in joy, land gracefully when someone (KORRA) launches her into the air in a fit of annoyance, or to air scooter it up. That said, she's also used it for fighting, in the sense that she air scootered over some really rude people who invaded their island. Ikki is a pretty accomplished kid when it comes to airbending, which shouldn't be any huge surprise, considering who her grandfather was.

mental: When Ikki actually focuses on something, she focuses. She loves her home a lot, and knows it down to every single tree - seriously, all 10,552 of them - for one example. For another? She's actually capable of shutting up and meditating, although Korra storming off from her first-ever lesson did get Ikki's hopes up that she could go off for juice, too. Unfair! Given that airbending has a huge spiritual component (lol Korra), Ikki is pretty in-touch with herself and the world around her - although most people would (correctly) assume that Tenzin and Jinora have more calm-spiritual bearings. Despite being seven, Ikki is pretty well-spoken (when she isn't squealing incoherently, at least) and intelligent, if incredibly blunt and childish; one can assume it comes from living on an island with very few children (read: she and her siblings? only kids in the place), and from her big sister always having her nose stuck in a book. Despite Ikki interrupting Jinora's explanations 97% of the time, she does actually learn things from her sister. It'd be sort of impossible not to.

emotional: Optimistic pretty much 99% of the time, Ikki is hard to get down. She seems to bounce back pretty quickly from anything that happens to her, and she's very strong-willed. Ikki very much personifies the "airbender spirit" Aang once saw in Teo and the other refugees at the Northern Air Temple. She's fun-loving, upbeat, and curious about everything and everyone. She's willing to try anything once (or twice, or three times...) and she very clearly adores her family, her home, and her life. Even after horrible things happened - after her home, Air Temple Island, was invaded, and Republic City fell under attack - Ikki still found reasons to smile. She managed to introduce herself and her older sister and younger brother to Rohan, the newest memeber of their "super great" family, with a smile.
Weaknesses:
physical: Ikki is, after all, seven. Her physical strength isn't really top-notch, and if someone actually catches her? She's not going to be able to physically overpower them. She relies a lot on her bending without really thinking about it - she's always been an airbender, after all - and can't imagine not having that around, although she has been forced to consider the possibility of life without airbending following her capture by Amon (thankfully it didn't come to that - Korra swooped in to rescue Ikki and her family from having their bending stolen, and they escaped unscathed). In terms of her bending weaknesses, Ikki is still in training! No mastery tattoos here. Also? Seven. Despite her seemingly boundless energy, Ikki does need to rest, and she crashes pretty hard when she's tired.

mental: Ikki is fairly easily distracted, for starters. She barely gives people any time to listen to her questions before going off and asking more, and she loses interest in things just as quickly as she becomes interested in them, as far as anyone can tell. She also doesn't really have the best grip on things like "logic" and "reality" sometimes, in the way that seven year old girls don't always have the most realistic views of things. The following is a legitimate canon quote from Ikki: "No! No! No! The best way to win a boy's heart is to brew a love potion of rainbows and sunsets that makes true lovers sprout wings and fly to a magical castle in the sky where they get married and eat clouds with spoons and use stars as ice cubes in their moonlight punch for ever and ever and EVER!" Asking Ikki for advice on romance is clearly an ace idea, Korra. Ikki also reads a lot less than her sister, and has only so much interest in reading herself - a lot of the time she just doesn't know the actual legitimate facts, and she may or may not make them up and/or just ask Jinora or Tenzin or any available victim nonstop what she needs to know rather than going out to look it up herself.

emotional: Ikki, while upbeat in general, does have her down moments. She can get scared, for example - and to be honest she has good reason, when her father is frequently drawn into conflict in Republic City, and when her entire world has very recently been turned upside down. She can act independently but is not independent; Ikki is very much a person who needs other people around, and not just due to her age. She needs her family around, and she clings to them a lot (literally, a lot of the time, as she can often be found hanging off of Tenzin or holding Jinora's hand, or playing with baby Rohan, now). Ikki is a people person - she doesn't do well when she's separated from others for long periods of time, and she doesn't really like being apart from her family, although for Ikki that can mean just being on the same island rather than being directly beside them, depending on what she's up to. She can also get upset with people fairly easily (although it's just as easy to appease her, and after making faces she doesn't do much anyway).
